I always liked stories.
At first, I liked listening to them.
As time went by, I understood that maybe I could tell them myself, whether they were inspired by my own experiences, or they were stories that resulted from much of what I heard and learned from all the people I met and with whom I lived together over the years of my journey.
My book Nas pegadas da alemoa was, from the moment I had the idea of writing it, a story that I felt needed to be told. The fact that it was on the list of best-selling books in Brazil for 34 consecutive weeks made the story of Alemoa not just mine: it is a story that is now being told by all my readers.
